The result of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever. (CSB)

A generous person will be enriched,
    and the one who gives a drink of water
    will receive water. (CSB)

Generosity will be rewarded:
   Give a cup of water,
   and you will receive
   a cup of water in return. (CEV)

Today's Verse - Deuteronomy 8:3b

Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. (NIV)

He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.  (NLT)

Today's Verse - Deuteronomy 7:9-10

Know that Yahweh your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands. But He directly pays back and destroys those who hate Him. He will not hesitate to directly pay back the one who hates Him. (CSB)

You know that the LORD your God is the only true God. So love him and obey his commands, and he will faithfully keep his agreement with you and your descendants for a thousand generations. But if you turn against the LORD, he will quickly destroy you. (CEV)

Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. But he does not hesitate to punish and destroy those who reject him. (NLT)

Today's Verse - Isaiah 53:5

Christ was pierced for our transgressions,
   he was crushed for our iniquities;

   He was beaten so we could be whole.
